Overview
kMeet is a free video conferencing service that works in Chromium- and Firefox-based browsers and through apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. It offers screen sharing with annotation, chat, password-protected rooms, a waiting room and virtual backgrounds. Joining or starting a meeting does not require an account; scheduling through the Infomaniak calendar and recording to kDrive require an Infomaniak account.
kMeet is based on the open-source Jitsi Meet software and launched in 2020. Infomaniak states that calls pass only through its servers in Switzerland and are encrypted by default. End-to-end encryption can be enabled per meeting in up-to-date Chromium-based browsers and the desktop app, but is not available on mobile devices.

Swiss footprint
Five independent questions. A Swiss company is not automatically Swiss-hosted — and vice versa. How the footprint is assessed

In May 2026 founder Boris Siegenthaler transferred the majority of voting rights to the Infomaniak Foundation, a Swiss public-interest foundation. In September 2026 the SIX-listed Perrot Duval Holding SA acquired 100% of Infomaniak Group SA in a reverse takeover and was renamed Infomaniak SA (ticker INFO, trading since 1 October 2026). The Foundation holds all unlisted, non-transferable Class A shares and the majority of voting rights; the listed Class B shares carry a minority of votes. The founder and about 30 employees also hold shares. Infomaniak Network SA is the group's operating company and contracting entity; its place under Infomaniak Group SA is inferred from the shared address, management and group references rather than stated explicitly in the sources consulted.
